twitch gave us a challenge, a competition, and [a link] to tell us what it was all about.

some people failed to see the point of it.

some others failed to see the point of these aforementioned people wasting their time (and ours) by telling us how they failed to see the point of it.

doc gave us [this link] and that made us smile. isn't green fantastic?

some people just kept posting crap, as a good way of avoiding doing the actual site.
well, at least one person did.

VHS - He's not going to have a limitation on the tools used. Make a site for the sake of design. Make it however you want and disconcern yourself with what others want. This is an opportunity that blocks out the element of "the client". You have no one to please except yourself.

Awesome. I am almost finished with my design now. My first time ever using flash for a site. I can't wait.

EDIT 1: Ooooh, I can't wait until I win one of those new DANBY Refrigerators. I also need a new pot and pan set to go with my brand new JEEP! ( Bicycle that is. )

Say Stephen! Hmm, the "sites worth watching" css/table analog tends to fall apart in MSIE5.5, it only actually fits together once, at a very definite size, what's up with that? =) The "tables without tables" metaphor is suffering here! You might also want to add the redirect for people who forgat and use their old browsers (like me on my mac!) so we get to realize that it's not *broken*, just geared for a better browser. We know and love ya, but someone coming there for the first time and finding everything broken might decline to submit something for judging. YMMV, heh.

Ok, I know that I have been a thorn in your side, but I have one last question. ( It's probably stupid again, but what the heck. )

Are any of those sites worth watchin entered into the contest? I am asking becuase I am confused about having to make a brand spankin new site from scratch and not taking it from a old site that you have had for a while. ( Well it makes sense to me at least. )

BTW, I like the site design for the competition. It's looking good.

How do you think anyone would dare posting their own feeble attempts when you put up such an impressive site for the competition?

That part at the bottom does fall apart for me also though...

I am working on my own submission, and I should have it finished before the end of month.

VHS: Always basing pages on what you already have does not sound like much fun. The fun part it to start from scratch and trying to decide how it should look and what you should put in it. I think those sites are just there as
bit of inspiration, and maybe even as a tiny hint as to what pages the judges like

I see. I was confused becuase I actually thought that those sites were submited for the competition.

All concerns about the trio of columns below are good ones, and I will address them... I think. I wanted to give an impression of what the judges liked, what was good to them, so you'd have an understanding when one of them was putting your work into a convenient scoring amount.

Made sense at the time. ~smile~ I'll take a look at it to see whats going on with the misalignments and such. No worries.

At least the form is working.

Oh, the pain. You guys are so good. You can "throw up" a site that looks better than anything I can produce by May 31st ~grin~ But I gotta admit, I *do* like the challenge...
