Topic awaiting preservation: another challenge, a challenge on what women REALLY want (Page 1 of 1)

dear friends, and foes, you decide, i have a new challenge...
this challenge you can find in the wife of bath story, in the book canterbury tales, (we are reading it in class) My guess is that what women really want is a man that is sweet, kind, not rude, brave, not show offy, and values the women, and shows her love. Another thing that women might want is power over men, but i don't know exctly, post your thoughts, or ideas! pleeeeeaaaase!

I hate to break this to you, but men have been trying to answer this question since the dawn of time (long before Chaucer, needless to say). I'll give you a hint: if you are a man, whatever you say in reply to this question (i.e., what do women really want?) will be wrong.

Now, we may get a few women in this thread huffing and puffing about how that's not true, and how what they want is really very simple, but don't believe them. If you want my opinion, it's so hard to figure out what women really want because they don't even know what they really want.

Men, on the other hand, are simple creatures who think with their reproductive organs and only want one thing: sex. At least, that is the CV. The truth is that men are just as complex as women (i.e., men don't really know what they want either), they just don't show it. Society has convinced most of us to adopt our proper gender roles and not make waves.

Not to mention that, after being around women long enough, most men give up on getting what they really want anyway.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be getting into my asbestos suit over here...

The problem with finding out what women want lies in Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. Once you find out what they want, they don't want it anymore. Also, if they tell you what they want they immediately don't want it anymore since "they had to tell you".

Therefore, I conclude that it is impossible to both know what a woman wants and know what a woman wants "right now" at the same time.

However, using the reverse impropability principle, I have deduced that what women REALLY want is ....

What one single woman "wants" changes based on the time of day, the weather, current surroundings, etc... Basically, there is no way to ever figure it out. Sometimes you can get a lucky guess in and claim a small victory, but for the most part ALL women are crazy. CRAZY.

This thread is getting out of hand.

I think questions like "What do women really want?" or "What do men really want?" or "What to pink and yellow-green elves really want?" are so far in to stereotyping and prejudice as to no really be worth discussing.

If we treat all women and men as individuals who want to be respected. If we realize we can learn something new from each of them and stop trying to treat people as members of a class just because they have some physical characteristic or other, we will all be a lot better off.

The point is, even if faced with 50 years with said male, women seem able to suffer the rough to gain the smooth, no matter how ridiculous the look to the rest of the world. How often have you seen a young attractive woman with a much older, unattractive rich guy?
the guy doesnt always have to be rich, just able to fund a comfortable lifestyle

ya, i guess i still don't understand guys though, i guess i'm not supposed to either, lol. I actually would prefer to make a good lifestyle by myself, it seems much more relaxing by ways of not having to be stressed by another person, my boyfriend is confusing enough!

A bit more seriously, all I want, as a young lady, is loving and entertainment. Isn't this simple enough? Then again, you have to know what kind of things entertain me, and also that kissing for hours in public places isn't my cuppa tea, but this is very little effort to make when you get to know someone... This could be an answer. What you need with women is experience, most of the time. I'm 22 and my boyfriend is 42 (and currently broke), and everything's great. Women don't always go out or get married with older chaps for the money.
