but if you image your typical pc on your typical desk in your typical office on a typical floor in a typical building, well, that's what my photo would look like.
oh, except i have a flashing LED light sitting on my desk for no apparent reason (optical mouse packaging).

dang it... i had to clean up the place so you would actually be able to see the desk and 'puter int the picture.

ah yes, thankyou... yes the pears are real. I cant believe you would ask... I NEVER eat fake pears. anywayz, we got a bunch of pears, and i picked out the ones that were shaped the nicest and made the mistake of leaveing them in the kitchen.... well.... they got diced up.... i was sad.... so i put some in a "safe" location **cough** within reach of me, no the pearing knife....

Real pears? I'm surprised because usually people put *real pears* at the kitchen, and fake pears for decoration. It's really nice to have it there on your desktop, at least, for deco. Nice shape, nice colour, just nice pears...

well maintained vinyl still provides far better sound quality than CD's.......makes a turntable a prized piece of technology.

I use mine daily still


...that chair sure looks comfy too

what i love is how you have a song like 'dont leave' (from the album 'reverence' by faithless, highly recommended), where the rythmic distortions of the turntable are recorded onto the song... makes it sound so... warm!

Wow, all your computer set ups suck! I would get out my digial camera and post mine, but my setup is just as sucky as yours, except I have a much cooler desk.

the most valuable piece of technology that i own is my turntable. i'd lose my computer before i gave up the gift of being able to listen to vinyl... it's something else, i'm sorry.

i'd like to agree with jestah on what he said (except he's wrong because my setup kicks ass... a turntable and orange walls? fuck all!). seriously though, all the setups i saw seemed really tame and sterile... how the heck can you get the creative juices flowing in a place like that?

like what the fuck... i wanna see peter's and weadah's setups, imagine the dank hell holes their graphics are coming straight out of. and how about twitch? we'd all like to see where the hell someone like twitch could possibly come from.

ooh ooh ooh.... i have been inspired. . . you punks should see my room... that is where the action is. i mean.... um.... i have 3 plasma lights, disc ball... a few black lights and poasters... geezzz... the list goes on.... I just wish i had that poster by my puter....

if you want a description, perforated steel desk...split ergo keyboard, scanner to my immediate left, printer underneath....objects all around, steel, wood, plastic, chains, cord, rope, speakers, forks, plates, paper of all sorts, a huge cabinet full of books behind to my right, with my drafting table directly behind me....spin, and I'm sketching. bristol and sketches all over the drafting table, seven lights in here for whatever mood setting, two lava lamps, purple wax, clear fluid, brushed metal bases, and christmas lights...blue..strung around the ceiling for when I really need to chill.

Headphones...25 disc pioneer stereo....

A pack of smokes, half empty, three cans, one with a hole in the side......and files....tons and tons of files.

And yet, it's relatively clean...

Well, no cam here either, but I'll try to give you adescription...

large metal office desk stolen from work.

placed in my living room, so that I sit in the corner looking over my desk at the rest of the living room.
to my right, the wall. On my desk, from right to left:

large milk crate on it's side as a bookholder/shelf.
in that, several books, many miscellaneous (meaning I don't know what the hell's in them right now) cd and zip disk cases, notebooks, candy, my little Yoda stamp, a plastic cup and some receipts.

in front of that, CD holders, half empty (because they're all laying loose in my crate), notebook, swiss army knife, mini pen screwdriver, keychain ducky that quacks when you squeeze it, chapstick and a bunch of pennies.

On top of the crate: my lego ATST, Sith Infiltrator and SLAVE 1. Episode 1 Yoda action figure, M&M guy with reindeer antlers....

moving left, more CD holders, a flashlight, a lighter and more candy.
Then my monitor, with my wirelss headphones on top.

Then my zip drive, with receipts on top of it, a can of cashews, nail clippers, empty presription bottle, my license, atm card and time card for work, ink cartrdiges for my printer, 'digiflex' hand/wrist exerciser, empty bottle of Belhaven Wee Heavy (that's beer to the rest of you...), two empty bottles of Redhook ESB.

CPU with printer on top of it.

Network hub with wire runing to the other computer, which is on the kids' desk over thataway...

Behind me, in the corner.....my bass (guitar, not fish), my guitar, my green plastic lightsaber, box of tools including a jigsaw, hammers, screwdrivers, levels, giant staple gun, nails, screws, nuts bolts wood glue, square...who knows what else.

whew.

This is the desk I use most, in the den. If the storms and tornadoes stop I will go do the one in the pool/game room.

Lets see....toe/finger nail polish...my bird houses and a cottage a friend made that the roof comes off and the stairs slide out to hide your pot in (used it in college) and ummm lets see ooooooooh
the stein has a humming bird nest in it that my brother found for me. And that empty looking picture
frame has a cool wing in it...a guy gave it to me telling me it was a fairy wing. (I made him think I
believed him) My new 3Com modem that all my company points at and goes oooooooooh what's that??? And the area off the kitchen that is used for morning coffee or to curl up in the big window seat when it's raining or just nice out to nap or read.

As a custom furniture maker, I see a fortune to be made here if I only had a marketing plan.

I would love to get nice furniture for the office but it would cost more than my equipment!!!

Damn ... I wish I had a cammy.. I am not into it as much as some of you people but let me tell you.. GET SOME REAL DESKS!!!

Mickey Milker... I think you have a nicest setup from all these people but being a beginner I still blow your shit away..
