I just saw it last night. I was rather dissapointed. Borning, boring movie. I thought I would be "WOWed" by the ending just like in Sixth Sense, but I was totally, totally bummed. I wasted 2 hrs of my precious life.

I saw it and was confused with the ending. It was ok but, not the best that I have seen with Bruce Willis or Samuel L. Jackson.

Yeah I saw it last weekend. I didn't think it was boring, but I did think that the ending was very weak. I didn't feel any emotions whatsoever. Just blah.

I thought it was a biit of a snoozer during, but after you can think back on some of the cheeky symbolism and that's kinda neat. As far as "entertaining"? No.

I loved the movie. I could watch that movie again and again. The symbolism throughout it is amazing. The use of color within it is incredible. Just watch his use of color, you can tell what is going to happen within each scene just by looking for certain combinations of color. The movie is modeled after a comic book and its done perfectly.

I don't really know how you can say the ending is weak Jeni. The ending is almost inevitable once you consider all of the comic book "rules" that are thrown around throughout. For instance, the rules that villains tend to follow. Listen to those rules and then look at certain characters, they follow them to the letter.

I've seen the movie 4 times and have yet to get bored. Every time I watch the thing I catch sometime different or gain some extra insight into whats going on. Granted, its not an action thriller, if thats what you want go rent a Schwarzenegger film.

Its all personal I know, but I thought the movie was great. In fact, I own it now.

Perhaps I didn't word that well. I felt the ending was weak because of the empty feeling I had. I felt that the reason I felt empty was because I didn't connect with Jackson's character at all. I didn't feel happy or sad or anything. Maybe the ending wasn't as bad as I originally thought, maybe it's just poor character development, or maybe I just wasn't observing all the deep messages and symbolism.

If this helps at all to understand where I'm coming from:
I hated the movie Ghost Dog

Ghost Dog really sucked. I could have made a much better sounding soundtrack myself. (thats what I do for a living... not graphics)

But Unbreakable was good for me after I watched the making of it. I was hoping he would have done alot more crimefighting. That would have been dope! Look for UB ][... return or Sentryman!!

Maybe I just didn't understand that movie like it "suppose" to be understood. Can someone explain it to me? I mean. ok... Bruce was a ******************* and then Samuel came out to be a ****************** ? Am I missing something here?

Someone HELP! Explain this shit to me please!

Thank you

if he gives away the ending mebbe people won't waste their 3 bucks on the rental. Actually 6 bucks cause I'm sure you'd like it better the 2nd time. Actually again you could watch it twice I guess on the same 3 bucks, yeah, that's right... ok. Welcome back Slime.

Am I alright?

I saw the movie long time ago, and I have to admit that I really liked it!
I saw it's homepage before going to see the movie, I did some research about the "Unbreakable" subject just to enjoy the movie once and for all...

It was good, but what was bad was seeing ppl. getting bored and yawning next to me....

Maybe I didn't like it because I really didn't and don't read comic books.

I don't think knowing comics books is the key. Hell it could have been about Greek gods.

I enjoyed the movie. The one thing about this movie (and honestly many of the more arthouse movies) that bothered me was the lack of a clearly defined central conflict. I like my protaganist/antagonist relationships to be more clearly defined.

But that's a personal thing.
I had about the same feeling about the 6th sense too.. Just knowing there was a big "suprise" at the end and seeing the ad that the kid (gotta say I hate Haley Joel Osmond) "saw dead people" I was able to figure out the "suprise" early

I actually have this video out at the moment coincidently when I discovered this thread...saw it last night and it is absolutely mind-blowing, refer to the Sixth Sense thread for what I think of M. Night Shymalan and his style. Although my grandma and dad didn't particularly aprreciate it and wondered what the whole point to it was, my mum and I totally loved it.....this time I will mention that Jerry Goldsmith's music is better than any classical composer or just as good....mind you I don't like comic books one bit....still didn't stop from enjoying it

Personally, I enjoyed it too. I was kinda waiting for the "surprise", was content that I had it, then got surprised Fun movie, thought Sixth Sense was better as an overall film. If you enjoyed Sixth Sense pick up the DVD, commentary about all the symbolism in the film is awesome...

I wish they would have left some of the deleted scenes that are on th DVD in the movie. I think it would have helped explain some things but I still liked it.
