First I just made a straight line with the shape tool, and I played around with the freetransform tool... and duplicated it many, many times. Then I flattened the shapes together, and blurred a little bit. Duplicated the shapes, blurred 6. Duplicated again blurred 12 and played around with the hue/saturation. The voila! But, since I also learned how to make ice from scratch better from it, I'll share it with everyone. The ice was made simply by Inverting the original picture, then adding a little Wind. However, I did learn to add some white Noise to any ice I make in the future, before adding the Wind, because all those little nooks and crannys in the floor brought some excellent detail to the ice once I added Wind to it.

Well, I started a new job rescently so I haven't had a lot of free time on my hands but I insisted on coming back to see my favorite loonies. I was very intrigued by this week's "challenge" so I made some time to take a stab at it. I hope I'm not too late. Good work to everyone else who participated!! Good stuff!!

I'm almost to embarrassed to reveal how simple it was... But, since I also learned how to make ice from scratch better from it, I'll share it with everyone.

The ice was made simply by Inverting the original picture, then adding a little Wind. However, I did learn to add some white Noise to any ice I make in the future, before adding the Wind, because all those little nooks and crannys in the floor brought some excellent detail to the ice once I added Wind to it.
