Preserved Topic: Need a new word (Page 1 of 2)

If I hear the word "cool" one more time, I swear I'm gonna rip my clothes off, make the person who says it eat my 8MB Visor and run out of the room S C R E A M I N G !!!!!

There's something disconcerting about being in meetings with suits and freaks and every other voun/verb phrase in every other sentence everyone uses the "C**L" word - God, it's makin' me SICK.


The only other substitutes I know of are:
1. Rad - too outdated
2. Groovy - too hippie
3. Dope - too Gangsta
4. Hip - too hip
5. Slick - no slick enough
6. Spiff - ???
7. Bitchin' - close candidate, but kinda offensive
8. Neat - *yawn*

Anyway, you get the idea. Any suggestions? Trust me, you're doing the world a favor by helping to solve this problem.

There was a movie in the '80's called RAD, about a kid and a bicycle race...anybody remember it?
I watch it every once in a while to keep my vocabulary 'fresh.' Then, when I'm in a meeting with lots of suits, I talk just like the movie...keeps everybody guessing. They never know if I'm WAY behind the times or UltraHep.

I use "Buttah" once in awhile -
just to get the frick-frak AWAY frol the C-word,

heh everything here goes off. it goes off in a big way unles its bad in which case its pear shaped which is not good. extra good things are uber and anything can be, tho things are never uber going off or pear shaped.

Friend of mine teaches high school and has been hearing "krunk" for a long time. For those of you who don't know, "krunk" is a word that Conan O'Brien made up a few years ago as a gag. He encouraged everyone to use it as a dirty word in the attempt to get it on the list of words that can't be said on TV.

Thing is, no matter how many times my friend tells the kids this fact, they absolutely refuse to believe him.
