Ignore the title! Anyone up for a short game? I've posted some limitations from the start.

No Zips / No PSDs
Only JPEGs
File Size Limit 300k (Quality Default High JPEG in Photoshop no funny stuff!)
Theme: Techonlogy (and by that I don't mean tech lines and patterns!!)
10 serves each

So anybody up for it. We could even make it a little interesting by adding more players, something like a bout?

Thats ok dude I want this match to be a bit more interesting. With PSDs it gets too easy... lets see who steps to the plate.

I may have strayed a little off the topic, technology/sci-fi - kinda' go nicely together...



The background is Lewisham, taken from a moving car with a Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone. The little guy in the foreground is me (taken just moments ago with my webcam). Like the pose?

Mostly just blend-effects after that. A bit boring, but it's early in the morning, so I'm feeling lazy.

Sci-Fi/Technology don't matter anything tech goes. Almost went over there 269K that was close. I'll have mine up soon nice serve.

Actually, it was 301KB when I'd finished, so I shrank the whole image by 1% (hence the slightly smaller dimensions) and it gave you a bit of a margin. It was that, or drop the quality.

Nice huh, tearing the fabric of space to connect to the otherside!

Hint: Try to use dull and neutral colors to the extent. I've noticed they tend to be light in file size. Oh and try adding some typos, it gets kind of boring without them.

Yeah, well - I knocked that up around 4-5am, before I'd got to bed yet (playing Doom 3 all night). I wasn't thinking much, but had an image of an old invasion-movie poster in my head. I should have put some titles in there for effect.

I'm having trouble right now thinking what to do with that. I will have to get back to it later.

Right - back from a wasted night that was supposed to be spent rocking. Nobody bothered turning up so I've spent hours on buses for nothing.

Such is life. *shrug*

I think I'll have another go at that. Still stuck for what to do with it, so might have to be a little cheap (it's too nice to ruin anyway).

Might have to post the result tomorrow, if that's okay? I hate to keep you waiting, but it's been a tough evening.

I think it's about as finished as it'll ever be. A little messy, but I was taking too long on it. Hope it's still relevant. lol

No it's not that I didn't like the devil... whoa, that sounds weird! Anyways, it's just kind of odd to see a demon with a mobile phone on a satellite dish that is lit on fire from below!!!

I think the demon (not necessarily Devil, but it's all the same, I s'pose) was really influenced by my recent game-playing (Doom 3, doncha' know). Rip a hole in the fabric of space, and you may just be opening a gate to Hell. Though that seems a little simplistic, the idea of the unknown possibly being something terrible appeals to me.

What if we were able to open a door to another world, only to discover something that doesn't play nice? Not a new idea, but I was grabbed by the urge to paint it.

Glad you like the last one. I'm still being rather down on technology with that quote, perhaps, but I'm a techno-freak usually, so it makes a change for me.

ADDENDUM: Actually, with what you said, it does rather look like a Devil stir-fry, eh? lol

Oooooooo... This just gets better and better every serve!

Bad news!! I was making this awesome serve when a bolt of lightning struck my cell and burnt down my computer . I know I know oh my gosh apparently the PC's ok but the serve's dead I wonder how that could've happened ??

Oh well, I'll post it soon.
