Well, I used to have three fancy goldfish. You know the kind, the really fat ones with the long beautiful fins. Anyway, I named the first Horatio because I had just finished watching Hamlet. I named the second, Beni Hasan because that type of fish was called a Black Moor. I then turned to my then girlfriend, Wella, and said she could name the third goldfish. She pondered and deliberated and she came back to me with the name to follow the other two... "Bob". AGGGHHHH!!!

So the moral of the story is... um... I think you should name your turtle, Jim.

Just had this deep philosophical discussion this weekend. I caught my friend Heather a turtle while we were canoeing. She loves me for it of course, its a red-eared slider about the size of a quarter.

So anyway, after a long discussion about names she went with "Yurtle."

I never name a pet until I've had it a few days to check out its personality but I don't think a turtle really has one

I did however save my turtles life....I came home and our maid aka housekeeper if maid offends anyone, being nice and stuff cleaned his (Pokey) bowl . She filled the bowl to the top with water ! Get a visual here: He was floating...his head was hanging waaaaaaaaaay down in the water.....this tongue was hanging out (kinda like DL or Krets on a good day) I did the chest compressions with my finger on his shell....cut a straw and gave him cpr... no chit ........ I did... bubbles were coming out of his nose and he kept gag'in......omg it was wild ! I saved him Where was I .... oh yeah... I changed his name from Pokey to Gag'er
